100 Black Men of Tampa Bay has worked with multiple organizations to promote healthy living among our community members. Research has repeatedly shown that African Americans too often lead the way in negative health statistics, typically due to a lack of quality information.
We have periodically partnered with health providers and other entities to provide useful information related to cancer, blood disorders and other general health issues. A major event that The 100 BMTB has supported since 2004 is the Men’s Health Forum. It is an annual event that involves partnerships with Moffit Cancer Center, USF, and dozens of health services providers. It now draws hundreds of volunteers, and provides services to over 1,000 men each year.
